ABC Board

The ABC Board comprises an independent chairman, the Chief Executive of ABC and 16 key figures in the media industry. They meet 5 times a year to oversee the effective running of ABC and ABCe and represent the interests of agencies, advertisers and owners for both print and digital media.

All Board decisions are made by consensus, meaning that both buyers and sellers of advertising are in agreement to any decisions made. The ABC Board representatives are nominated by the following industry trade associations:

Each media sector is also represented by a Reporting Standards Group (again comprising of agency, advertiser and media owner representatives) who discuss and agree the standards to which ABC data is reported. Digital media standards are set by JICWEBS. Thus ABC and ABCe standards are set by the industry for the industry.
